Three friends. No script. No filter. Probably a bad example.

Secondhand Smoke is a comedy and conversation podcast hosted by Jakob Martinez, Robert Clark, and Jackson “Jenk” Jenkins in Laurel, Mississippi.

What started as three friends sitting around talking shit has turned into something much bigger than we expected.

Every episode is built around the same thing that started it all: real conversations between friends. We talk about life, travel, ridiculous stories, unpopular opinions, things happening in the world, and whatever else manages to come up once the microphones turn on.

There’s no carefully rehearsed script and no attempt to make everything sound polished or politically correct. Sometimes we agree. Sometimes we argue. Sometimes somebody says something that they probably should have kept to themselves.

That’s the show.

But Secondhand Smoke isn’t only about us.

We also sit down with guests from completely different walks of life… People with interesting careers, unusual experiences, incredible stories, strong opinions, and perspectives we haven’t heard before. The goal isn’t to conduct another boring interview. We want to actually know the person sitting across the table or on the screen!

And as the show grows, we’re building more around it; video episodes, behind-the-scenes content, challenges, punishments, recurring bits, and whatever other terrible ideas we convince each other to try.

At its core, though, Secondhand Smoke is three best friends having the conversations we’d be having even if the microphones weren’t there.

We just decided to let everybody else listen.
